Hi

There is no age limit but if you are under 16 then you will need to be with a legal guardian.

Hi Evgeny

We are fully booked this weekend (14-15th November) but we can certainly organise tuition for the following weekend (Saturday 21st Nov).

To book your place I need to take a 50% deposit from you, I will send details about this to you by email. If you wish to book in a model I need to know by Thursday 19th Nov latest.

Your English seems rather good and I am sure we will not have any problems with language on the day.

HI
I think firstly I'm going to book 3 hours of one to one tuition and tomorrow I'll ask my friends about being a model for these 3 hours. If they cannot I will hire a model through your studio.

So, 1)Is it possible to take this tuition on this or next weekends?
2)how can I book it?

By the way, I'm not a native speaker, I'm studying in London at Pre-Master's course, so is it ok, i mean my language?

Hi again Evgeny

I would say you will need at least 4 hours to cover:

1) Camera settings for studio flash (exposure and white balance)
2) Using a flash light meter
3) Introduction to a studio flash unit
4) Portrait lighting
5) Beauty Lighting

You certainly need a model to practise on, as we need to jodge the position of lights by looking at shadows cast on the models face. If your budget can't stretch to hiring a model through us then you could always bring a friend along as your model?

Regards

Hi Martin

Thanks for these answers, happy to get it so quickly=)

I've never worked in studio and I'd like to know about Studio flash lighting. So I need an advice How many hours do I need to take to get basic knowledge about studio lighting technique in one-to-one course, so I can bravely book one-to-one tuition?

By the way, is it useful to include a model in this part of course?

Thanks

Hi Evgeny

The Canon 450D with the 24-105 lens is a good choice for portraiture and beauty, the telephoto end of the lens is superb for close in tightly cropped headshots.

Here are the answers to your questions about one to one tuition.

1) Yes one to one tuition is charged at £50 per hour and for this you get a teacher, studio lights and photo studio.
2) One to one tuition can include a model and for this there is a charge of £50 half day or £75 full day for hiring the model.
3) Yes it is possible to do this course on the weekend.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Hi James

The Nikon D40 is a good starter camera. All the areas you listed are taught in our group camera courses. The next available group camera course is happening on Saturday 8th August 2009 at the studio. The cost of the group course is only £150 is for a whole days tuition. The cost of one to one tuition is £50 per hour.
